My daughter's best friend got engaged at Southall Farm in February and I had the privilege of capturing the joyful moment. Anna and Olivia became immediate friends when we moved here. Since we were all originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Anna's Mom and I made a plan to introduce them at our neighborhood school where their siblings were having a meet and greet before the school year started. Our girls were in eighth grade when they met, and their friendship continued to grow through middle school, high school, then as college roommates, sorority sisters and now Anna is a bride-to-be! This family's friendship has been the sweetest gift and I've loved watching Anna grow up through my lens.
Collin and Anna met lifeguarding at our neighborhood pool when they were just 14 years old, so their love story has been seven years in the making! When Anna arrived at Southall Farm, for what she thought was going to be brunch. When they arrived at the orchard entrance, Collin was waiting to grab her hand and walk to the top of the hill, where he got down on one knee and proposed overlooking the farm and lake. It was the sweetest moment and well worth the wait. They celebrated, just the two of them, and talked about their future over brunch at January restaurant. A truly perfect day!
