I’m invited to document wedding days often, and it is always an honor. But some celebrations carry a deeper layer of meaning — when I know the family, the history, the quiet chapters that led to this one. When I’ve witnessed pieces of the story long before the aisle.
I’ve known Britt’s mom, Jan, and her parents since we were girls ourselves, so when she called to tell me Britt and Sammy were engaged, it felt wonderfully full circle. Years ago, I photographed a milestone for Jan's parents (Britt's grandparents), and now I was being invited back to document this chapter for their family. It was truly meaningful — a privilege and pleasure.
Britt always envisioned a wedding in Seaside — the place woven into her childhood memories and family traditions. And while many know 30A for summer escapes, winter along 30A is the true insider’s season. The air is crisp, the light is softer, the streets are quieter, and the holiday charm feels almost cinematic. December and February weddings here have become some of my favorites — perfect weather, fewer crowds, and the coastline views all to yourselves.
Britt was breathtaking in a lace, boatneck Sareh Nouri gown with a delicate bolero from Carriage House Weddings — timeless, classic and romantic....perfectly Britt. Her sisters wore sage strapless dresses with matching boleros, while the bridal party complemented the palette in ecru column silhouettes finished with sage ribbon bows. The gentlemen wore deep blue suits from The Locker Room in Auburn — a meaningful nod to where the couple's story began, with Britt cheering on the sidelines and Sammy on the football field.
After their ceremony at Seaside Chapel, the celebration turned even more joyful. Guests followed a lively second line through Ruskin and Seaside Square, led by jazz horns. Britt and Sammy shared an ice cream cone from It’s Heavenly, dropped their marriage license at the Seaside Post Office, toasted with champagne at Modica Market, and ended at Bud & Alley’s just as the sun dipped low over the water. Those moments were some of my favorite of the day! You could feel the joy and adoration all around us.
As guests enjoyed cocktails, Britt and Sammy slipped away for golden hour portraits at the iconic Seaside Pavilion — soft winter light, her windswept veil, and a few quiet moments together before their first dance.
The evening ended with a snowy exit beneath Christmas trees and getaway in a classic red car en route to The Pearl in Rosemary Beach. They spent Christmas honeymooning in St. Lucia — beginning their next chapter somewhere equally sun-soaked and beautiful.
Joyful. Intentional. Effortlessly elevated. Cheers to Britt & Sammy!
