One of my daughter’s very best friends is getting married next July, so I spent Saturday afternoon in our neighborhood, here in Franklin, Tennessee, capturing Ava and Henry’s sweet love. I will be photographing another wedding on her wedding day, so I was thrilled to be able to spend time with them during their engagement season, and what a happy season it is! I'm thrilled for this couple and all the joy that’s to come…Pure bliss! 

Sharing a recent commercial project for LoveShackFancy. I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful new Birmingham store before its doors officially opened at The Summit on July 31. Every corner was filled with shades of soft pink, romantic florals, delicate lace, ribbons, and the signature feminine details that make LoveShackFancy so iconic. And yes…I may have spotted a few dresses that would be absolutely perfect for an engagement session. 🩷 

Even though there was sunlight in the sky, it rained up until 10 minutes after Caroline and Noah's engagement session was scheduled to start, so we began shooting with our rain plan to stay under covered porches. Anne Adams' Bridesmaids Lunch was hosted by her Aunts at her grandparents' beautiful home around the pool and atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a beautiful day with classic and timeless details. Special touches included the lovely food created by her aunts and cousins, and beautiful floral arrangements by her aunt Laura. This wasn't just a bridesmaids lunch, it was also a sweet and meaningful family affair.

I had the privilege of photographing Mitch and Casey’s proposal last holiday season, surrounded by the magical lights at Cheekwood. This May, we met at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, where they live, to capture their engagement. I’ve had so much fun getting to know this former Ohio State football player and Alabama soccer player. Such a sweet couple!
