From the start, Isabella wanted formality and historic Birmingham locations to document her engagement and wedding season. She got her wish with the iconic Alabama Theatre for their Engagement shoot, the Bridesmaids Brunch at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Rehearsal Dinner at Galley and Garden restaurant, the ceremony downtown at Cathedral Church of the Advent and Reception at The Florentine building. All beautiful and historical Birmingham landmarks. Leaning into the formal and traditional wedding style, Isabella and Charlie chose to see each other for the first time as she was walking down the aisle.
The bride custom designed her stunning ivory and gold lace, tulle and beaded embellished dress with NiE1 Bridal Atelier, as a nod to her family's Spanish and French heritage. She added the same gold lace to the neckline of her bridesmaids' dresses.
Two of my favorite memories of the day are 1. the couple driving her dad's vintage white corvette from the ceremony and reception sendoff, and 2. The 70s style flash mob dancers at the reception. It was a complete surprice and a fun guest experience to kick off an evening of dancing.
