Anne Adams wanted her engagement session at the home where she grew up in Mountain Brook, Alabama. There's something special about strolling with your fiancé in the same backyard where you played on a swing as a child. I always love it when brides choose a location that has a connection and meaning to them. Anne Adams' mom Jan, and I have known each other since middle school (or earlier), so I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph two of her daughters' weddings, within 6 months of each other. It's a busy and exciting year for their family, and I consider it such a sweet privilege to document their wedding stories through my lens.

I spent the afternoon with Anne Adams and Chael before they headed to Bottega to celebrate a successful shoot with an iconic Birmingham meal, before beginning their dance lessons the next day. I can't wait until June for this lovely day!
