PUBLISHED ON THE WHITE WREN
Jennah’s family has a home in Alys Beach and she’s grown up making memories in the charming beach towns along this beautiful stretch of 30A, so it was the perfect setting for her February wedding. Although the weather was forecasted for clouds and rain, we were grateful for the pleasant surprise of blue skies, sunshine and perfect temperatures.
Jennah spent the morning getting ready with her girls and slipped into her Lela Rose dress with the help of her mom and sisters. Jackson spent the morning with his guys in separate Alys Beach home, just one block from his bride-to-be. The couple met on the beautiful pathways between the pristine white homes for their First Look and portraits before making their way to The Chapel at Seaside to exchange vows, with a traditional rose petal exit through their guests on the lawn behind Ruskin Place.
All of their favorite people gathered under a clear tent at Alys Central Park for cocktail hour while Jennah and Jackson walked through idyllic Seaside Square, to the iconic Coleman Pavilion and onto the beach, for a few stolen newlywed moments during golden hour, and before the evening’s celebration began. Shelby Peaden Events + Myrtie Blue designed their tented reception with a beach-friendly palette of blues, greens and whites, including airy florals and lounge seating. Guests enjoyed passed hors d-ouvres, custom cocktails and a tequila bar. Later, the happy couple arrived for dinner, dancing and cake where guests were served the couple’s favorites of fried rice, bao buns, shrimp and grits, grouper fingers and beef tenderloin.
It was a night to remember with a cold sparks exit in a classic black thunderbird convertible. The happy couple honeymooned in Anguilla.
